Sound Booths for EducationOur Music Practice Rooms provide perfect sound booths for schools, colleges or universities. The flexible, modular design allows the music pods to be relocated if required. The sound quality within is excellent and noise pollution to other areas is limited. Schools and universities are renowned for poor acoustics, as noise reverberates easily through school classrooms and corridors. It is hard to rehearse without disturbing other classes, and similarly, the day-to-day activities within the school can be distracting for musicians. Our relocatable music pods are the ideal cost-effective solution for school music departments who need extra rehearsal space. The sound booths can also be used within other departments such as libraries or language classrooms where noise control is an issue. Professional and cost effective to install, but don’t just take our word for it. See our Customers page for details on our successful installations. |

Benefits of our sound booths:
- Affordable and flexible solution – without compromising on acoustics
- Sound booths are modular and can be relocated if required
- Fast set up – panels simply clip together (see installation video)
- Typical room to corridor performance RW38dB
- Balanced interior acoustics ensure high sound quality. The room's sound insulation performance and 'dry' internal response provide an environment that offers the best 'control' conditions for any sound booth
- 100mm-thick wall panels are abutted together then fastened and sealed with full-length C-clip fixings to both sides. Ceiling panels are secured using an interlocking tongue and groove system.
- Door leaf has a 3/4 height window for visibility and safety requirements. Tough steel construction and door seals ensure the room's sound isolating properties are maintained.
- In-built lighting and ventilation create a pleasant sound booth environment
- Internal lock override for personal security
Noise at Work Regulations
Sound limiting devices that comply with the Noise at Work Regulations can be installed with our sound booths or added at a later date. This will allow you to control excessive noise over prolonged periods. These devices electronically limit the maximum noise levels possible within the acoustic booths.
Building Bulletin 93
MusicPracticeRooms.com can assist you in complying with the regulations. Building Bulletin 93 was introduced to provide appropriate acoustics guidance for new build schools. The aim of BB93 is to provide a comprehensive guide for architects, building control bodies, building service engineers, clients and others involved in the design of new school buildings. We encourage architects to work with MusicPracticeRooms.com at the design stage of the sound booths to ensure new build schools comply with these guidelines. BB93 can also be retrospectively applied for remedial works to existing schools.
